Hybrid water heaters — the best of two worlds

Hybrid water heaters provide the best of both worlds – all the benefits of tankless water heaters plus instant hot water. As with tankless water heaters, these environmentally friendly water heaters give you endless hot water and save you money on your energy bills.

Tried and true tank water heaters are more efficient now too

Cost-effective tank-type water heaters still deliver plenty of benefits – as long as they’re one of the new, more efficient water heaters.

Don’t forget to flush!

cartoon of frog standing in water by his leaking water heaterFlushing once a year can lower your energy bill; give you hotter water, faster; and double the life of your water heater. Youve heard the old saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” That goes double for plumbing.

Take your water heater for example. Flushing it just once a year can…

* Double its life
* Cut your PG&E bills
* Give you more hot water

It’s true! Removing the gunk from your tank makes a difference.

Call us for a good flush. While we’re there, we’ll perform a safety check at no extra charge to make sure the pressure-relief valve operates properly. Your water heater will thank you and you’ll sleep better at night.

High-efficiency, low-flush toilets

If you have an older, water-guzzling toilet and it starts to need repairs, instead of spending your hard-earned money on a long string of repairs, invest wisely and get a reliable toilet that will save you money (and frustration) over the long run.

At just 1.2 to 1.6 gals per flush, low-flush, high-efficiency toilets are a big water and cost saver. The older models use 3 to 7 gallons of water per flush.

Catch those sneaky leaks

Something as simple – and, often, invisible as a leaking toilet can waste 30 to 500 gallons of water per day. Here’s a simple check for a silent leak: put a few drops of food coloring in the tank. If the coloring shows up in the bowl after 20 minutes, your toilet is leaking. Flappers, floats, and handles can all be causes of leaks.

If you can’t replace, displace

If you have an older toilet (this applies only to older toilets) and aren’t ready to replace it, displace some of the water in the tank for big savings. Fill a plastic bottle with water and something with weight to it, like pebbles. Place it in to bottom of the tank where it will not interfere with the flushing mechanism. Voila, you’ll use less water with each flush!\

We use green solutions behind the scenes too
